If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.

Great examples of “how to” essays written by my 5th graders

Have you ever wondered how people attach media onto an email?  This is a way to share photos, documents, videos, and audio quickly and easily. Keep reading to find out how.

The first thing you need to do is find your document, photo, video, or audio in your “Finder”. Your “Finder” contains all saved items. You should do this, just to make sure you saved your document, photo, video, or audio.

Next, you need to type in the URL for your email in the address bar, sign in, and then you can click on compose mail.

Once you have followed these steps, you can type in the person you’d like to send the email to, then add in your subject. Underneath all of that, before the body of the email, it should say “Attach a File”. When you see that, click on it, and search for your document, photo, video, or audio, just like you did on your “Finder”. Once you’ve found your media, click on it, and at the bottom, hit open.

Once you’ve done that, you can write a little message in the body for whomever the email is for, and then you send it! How easy is that? First, you should try exporting documents, and once you get the hang of it, you can start to export other medias such as video, audio, and photos. That is how you export media onto an email.

Hyperlinking Into The 21st Century

Hyperlinking is a great tool for writing on a blog because you can add additional information to your post. For instance, if you wrote a sophisticated word and a first grader was reading your post, you could link that word to another website like dictionary.com. Also, if you wrote a post and you want to add additional information, you could link to other sites that also talk about information that you wrote in your post. Hyperlinking is a very useful skill to know in the 21st century because blogging is becoming more and more popular. In 20 years, people might not even have newspapers anymore so you should start practicing to write blog posts on a blog.

Here are the steps of how to make a good hyperlink.  First, you must got to file and click on a new tab. Then, type in the subject you want to learn about in the search bar. After that, copy the site on the search bar that you like best. Here is a little tip for all you bloggers out there. You should not always use wikipedia because some of the information on that website can be false. Then, click on the chain link at the top of your post.

Paste the website onto the bar next to http. Finally, click on add link. And that is how you make a hyperlink.

Now that you know how to make a hyperlink, you should start practicing it. Start off with one link. Then, you can work yourself up to more links in your posts. Keep linking!

Hyperlinking With Thinking

I am going to teach you how to make a hyperlink. We were assigned something to teach about and the things we could pick from were hyperlinking, how to make a slide show, how to insert a picture into a post, and saving a word document. In my opinion, the most interesting of the options is hyperlinking. Hyperlinks help make your post better. Let’s say that your post didn’t explain everything on a topic, then you can link to a site that gives more details. The difference between a link and a hyperlink is that with a link you have to look back and forth and copy the words exactly and that can take up precious time which you need. For a hyperlink, on the other hand, all you have to do is click on it, and it will take you directly to the site it is linked to. Now, let’s get started!

Step number one, go to the site you want linked and copy what is in the search bar.Next, go back to your blog post and you will see a little chain icon on the top of what you are writing.

Before you click on the chain, highlight the word you want the site to be linked to.

Then, click on the chain. There should be a thing that wants to know what your going to link to, and in the first part put the copied site that you took from the bar and insert it.

There should be a line under that that asks for the name of the hyperlink, type in the word and then press add link. You should have a good hyperlink waiting for you once your done.

Now that we are done with that, let’s review. First, copy the site from the search bar and then highlight the word on your post that you want it to be linked to, then open the chain, paste the site that you copied, and then on the next line type in the word, and press the done button. I hope you learned a lot and maybe I will be able to see the hyperlinks you put on your blog. Please comment and look forward to my next post. Thank you.
